Plexus Protection

Post by Pecanac »

This answer I can't find anywhere. Please if you have link where I can see it in written form or you have confirmation directly from MADRIX (INOAGE) please do share.

The question:

Do PLEXUS, LUNA and other products have some kind of protection? Eg. Undervoltage, Overvoltage, Surge Protection or maybe Short-Circuit protection? What are the recommended protections that should be used, before the MADRIX products, this is a question for stand-alone systems that are not connected to a UPS line but have their own power supply. (For example a remote bridge that has DMX LED lines).

Hello Pecanac,

At the DMX Ports the PLEXUS provides a Short-Circuit Protection, a Surge Protection up to 1000V and an Overvoltage Protection up to 60V. The DMX Outputs are optically isolated.
At the USB power input side the PLEXUS provides a Surge Protection.

The PLEXUS don't provides an Undervoltage protection.
