I want to use my panasonic hdc-sd600 camcorder in the video effect .
The camera on my laptop is recognised but not this .
I connected with the hdmi ports .
The camera has mini usb and an av multi port too .
I don't think my computer is recognising the camera when I plug in the hdmi .
Anyone got any ideas how this should work ?

Does the camcorder come with any software or drivers? What does the user manual say about connecting to your computer?

Have you read elsewhere that connecting the camcorder to a capture device should work in general?

I am not sure if HDMI will work, because there might be DRM issues.
