Hi,

What is the maximum distance I can run with a cable between Nebula and SPI-Strip (UCS2903 & UCS2904) AND what kind of cable can you recommend (shielded)?

Hello Naheem,
Welcome to the MADRIX forum.

All manufacturer of digitial LED tape are recommending the distance between the interface (NEBULA) and the first pixel of the LED tape as short as possible.
The longer the cable the more possibilities of adding interferences.

If you are using shielded twisted pair cables for GND and Data wires, you can reach up to 40 meters for the UCS2903 and UCS2904 protocol.
That also means the GND will be feeded twice. One connection at the NEBULA and the second one at the used power supply.
Please note: This specification of the length is no guarantee because several interferences at the environment can influence the signal quality.
