actual MADRIX can open a capture device only one time.
This means you can use the same capture device on different Storageplaces, yes, but not to the same time.

Of cource we can change the default settings to matrix and strech as like as you describe above, because i think in the most cases videos are used as content source for stylistic effects and in this cases this settings makes the most sense. One note to this.
If you use the Software which render the flash file you have also the possibility to export the anim as avi file instead of swf.
This is already supported by MADRIX via the SCE Video Effect.
